5 Books that Children are Reading Right Now

Earlier this month, BookPal asked our Facebook fans the question, "What books are your children currently reading?" We sorted through all the comments in order to determine the five of the most popular titles kids are reading right now:

1)

pete the cat children's book in bulk

Pete the Cat by Eric Litwin

Pete the Cat loves his brand new white shows. As he walks down the street, his shoes change from white to red to blue to brown to wet as he steps in piles of strawberries, blueberries and other big messes! But no matter the color or state of his shoes, Pete keeps groovin' and movin' and singing his song because it's all good.

2)

If_you_Give_a_Mouse_a_Cookie

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff

What happens when you give a mouse a cookie? He's going to ask for a glass of milk. Then he'll want to look in a mirror to make sure he doesn't have a mustache from the milk. After that, he'll ask for a pair of scissors so he can give himself a trim... The consequences of giving a cookie to this energetic mouse run the polite host ragged, but young readers will smile and giggle at the antics that tumble like dominoes through the pages of this delight classic picture book. 3)

Say Cheese and Die Goosebumps

Goosebumps: Say Cheese and Die by R.L. Stine

Greg thinks there's something wrong with the old camera he found. All the pictures keep turning out... different. When Greg takes a photo of his father's brand new car, it looks wrecked in the picture. Then something strange happens, his dad crashes the car! Greg thinks the camera can tell the future — or worse, determine the future! Another fan-favorite prequel to R.L. Stine's blockbuster Goosebumps Horrorland Series, Say Cheese and Die also includes a guide to haunted machines and other bonus materials.

4)

harry potter classroom book set

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter is an extraordinary boy who has no idea how special he is because his terrible aunt and uncle are keeping a big secret from him. Everything changes when Harry is summoned to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and he begins to discover clues about his illustrious birthright. From the surprising incident of when he is greeted by a lovable giant, to the unique curriculum and interesting faculty at his unusual school, Harry finds himself drawn deeper into a mystical world he never knew existed and closer to a dangerous fate that awaits him.

5)

captain underpants children's books in bulk

Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey

When Dav Pilkey first began drawing pictures of Captain Underpants — an underwear-clad, wedgie-giving superhero — as a second grader, his teacher told him, "You'd better start taking life more seriously, because you can't spend the rest of your days making silly books!" Luckily for us, Pilkey didn't listen. Now, kids everywhere can read about the adventures of this silly superhero!
