PRICES, PAYMENT & TAXATION

PRICING

Unless otherwise specifically agreed to in writing by BookPal, all prices, whether in BookPal’s catalog, website price list, quotation, order acknowledge or elsewhere, are subject to change at any time prior to shipment of the products. Pricing is in USD unless otherwise indicated. Prices shown on BookPal’s price list or elsewhere are for information only and do not constitute quotations or offers to sell. Additional charges may be applied for product modification and customization. BookPal reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price due to typographical errors.

PAYMENT

Applicable terms of payment and price are shown on invoices and are effective from date of invoice. In the event Seller commences litigation due to purchaser’s failure to pay in accordance with the payment terms, purchaser shall pay Seller’s reasonable collection costs, including Seller’s reasonable attorney’s fees. BookPal reserves the right to place a 1.5% monthly service charge on past due accounts.

SALES TAX

In accordance with applicable law, BookPal collects sales tax on orders shipping within or to the following states: Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. BookPal is not responsible for additional taxes and tariffs on international shipments.

QUOTATIONS

Written quotations by BookPal automatically expire 30 days from the date of quotation and are subject to termination by notice from BookPal within that period. BookPal shall have no liability in respect of any oral quotation or under any oral agreement unless BookPal confirms such quotation or agreement in writing within 10 days thereafter.

PRICE MATCH PROGRAM

BookPal offers a price match program if you find your books for a lower price elsewhere. The following conditions apply to all Price Match requests:

• The price to be matched must be posted on the website of an authorized US wholesaler.
• Price matches must be explicitly requested at the time of purchase. We are unable to honor price match requests after the transaction has been processed.
• Prices can only be matched for identical items with the same ISBN/SKU number on books that are new and unused.
• Additional shipping charges may apply to orders where price matches have been made and the competing website charges shipping.
• Additional charges may apply to orders where matches have been made and the competing website charges sales or shipping tax.
• BookPal reserves the right to decline a price match at our discretion.

SHIPPING

GROUND SHIPPING

Estimated delivery depends upon which warehouse the books are shipping from as well as the destination address. Ground shipments cannot be guaranteed to deliver on or before a specific date. Your order may arrive in several different packages on different days, at no additional cost to you. Some warehouses require additional processing time to prepare the order for shipment. Our processing time before an order ships is 3-5 days, excluding weekends. Some titles require transfer to our East or West coast consolidation facility prior to shipment, which will add an additional 1-4 days of processing time prior to shipment.A majority of our products qualify for free ground shipping and will be labeled accordingly on their respective product pages. However, due to some supplier limitations, a select number of titles do not qualify and shipping will be charged accordingly. This free ground shipping offer only applies to orders shipped to addresses within the contingent U.S.

BACKORDERED TITLES

Backordered titles will ship with the selected shipping method once the books arrive back in stock at the warehouse. BookPal is not responsible for UPS delays caused by weather related issues or other natural disasters. If the title is scheduled to reprint in more than 90 days of the order date, the order will be canceled. If no reprint date is scheduled by 30 days after the order is placed, the order will be canceled.

RUSH SHIPPING

Rush shipments cannot be guaranteed to deliver at an exact time of day. Orders with a rush shipping method selected will ship within 1-2 business days from the date the order is placed. Some warehouses require additional processing time to prepare the order for shipment. BookPal is not responsible for UPS delays caused by weather related issues or other natural disasters.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS

International shipments are subject to worldwide rights and the publishers’ approvals. BookPal will provide freight quotes on appropriate shipping options to the end destination country upon request. Insurance will be an additional fee and BookPal is not responsible for any additional duties, tariffs or taxes. Payment is required up front via ACH or wire transfer. For payments made via PayPal, an additional 4.5% fee will be applied. For orders shipping to the EU, the goods will be imported on behalf of the consignee/buyer. The consignee authorizes BookPal to import the goods on his/her behalf. Further, the consignee/buyer agrees BookPal may delegate the obligation to import the goods on his/her behalf to a subcontractor (e.g. customs broker). The consignee will pay the taxes & duties in addition with the purchase price of the goods.

PREORDERS

Orders placed before a title's street release date will ship on or shortly after the release date, unless other arrangements are made. For information on special requests and early release permissions, please contact Account Management.

RETURN POLICY

BookPal does not accept returns. Exceptions will only be made for misprinted copies, damaged copies or quantity errors. In the event of an exception, BookPal will exchange the affected titles at no cost to the customer. Photographic evidence of the damages may be required.

In order to be eligible for a return, the customer must file a claim with the Customer Service department within 10 days upon receipt of order.
