NY Times Best Sellers Round-Up July 2013
Looking for a summer read that you cannot put down? The New York Times Bestsellers list is always a great place to start. Check out some of the top bestsellers for this month:
1) SECOND HONEYMOON by James Paterson. (Little, Brown.) As he investigates the murder of a pair of newlyweds, the F.B.I. agent John O’Hara, last seen in “Honeymoon” (2005), is targeted by a serial killer.
2) AND THE MOUNTAINS ECHOED by Khaled Hosseini. (Riverhead.) A multigenerational family saga centers on a brother and sister born in Afghanistan.
3) THE OCEAN AT THE END OF THE LANE, by Neil Gaiman. (Morrow/HarperCollins.) A middle-aged man recalls his lonely boyhood and his friendship with a remarkable girl.
4) BAD MONKEY, by Carl Hiaasen. (Knopf.) A defrocked Miami cop turned restaurant inspector investigates a grisly murder.
5) PROOF OF HEAVEN, by Eben Alexander. (Simon & Schuster.) A neurosurgeon recounts his near death experience during a coma from bacterial meningitis.
6) DAD IS FAT, by Jim Gaffigan. (Crown Archetype.) The comedian’s life with five kids in a two-bedroom New York City apartment.
7) ELEVEN RINGS, by Phil Jackson and Hugh Delehanty. (Penguin Press.) An autobiography by the coach known for his multiple N.B.A. championships.
8) JOYLAND, by Stephen King. (Hard Case Crime.) In North Carolina in 1973, a college student working at an amusement park confronts the legacy of a vicious murder, the fate of a dying child, and the ways both will change his life forever.
9) WORLD WAR Z, by Max Brooks. (Broadway.) An “oral history” of an imagined Zombie War that nearly destroys civilization.
10) ENTWINED WITH YOU, by Sylvia Day. (Berkley.) Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires; a Crossfire novel.
