A classic series that has sparked a cult following and subsequent movie series, The Hobbit is one of the sentinel titles of the fantasy and magic genre. Author J.R.R. Yet what Bilbo doesn’t expect to discover in their quest is something that will change him and the rest of Middle Earth forever. In The Hobbit, we’re introduced to Gollum, one of the most well-know frightening characters in literature. And of course, we learn about the Ring that controls the course of this classic fantasy series. The Hobbit is commonly ordered as a class set by middle school and high school educators and administrators. While recommended for readers with at least a twelve-year-old reading level, this classic fiction title is popular with adults as well.
