Tempest: An Epic Sci-Fi Adventure (Godslayers #2)

Facing a damning accusation against her team and roiling internal conflict, Lilith must reconcile the truth of her mission, in this military space opera.

With one dead god behind her, Lilith’s finally coming into her own as a godslayer and a Velean. But her team’s deicide operation on Theria is growing ever more complicated. Kives, the oracle goddess who was once their greatest adversary, has delivered a map leading to the storm god Horcutio’s hidden places of power. If they can trust her, this is exactly what they need to kill their target—but that’s a very big “if.”

To ignite the war required for this mission, Lilith must reconcile the sins of her past and decide what lines she’s willing to cross to achieve her goals. But the ideals she deployed with don’t quite hold up to the sordid requirements of field work, and it’s becoming clear her teammates have ulterior motives for their presence on Theria.

To make matters worse, a second team of godslayers survived Kives’s initial planet-wide attack. In addition to their personal and political rivalries, they come bearing a catastrophic accusation: Lilith’s team has been compromised, and their leaders secretly serve the will of Kives. And whether it’s true or not, these new Veleans are very motivated to prove it . . .
