All Her Potential

Orphan Black meets Knives Out but starring a middle-aged Veronica Mars in this family drama wrapped in a sci-fi mystery from Macavity Award-winning author Lev AC Rosen, about a scientist's daughter who returns home to solve her father’s murder—and her cloned sisters are the prime suspects.

Though raised in the shadow of her billionaire genius father Stephen, Ada Klee is happy. She's a therapist who uses game and play strategies for her patients, and is a loving mother. Her daughter doesn't live in the shadow of disapproval, as Ada did under her father, or know the terrible secret she discovered years ago that pushed Stephen out of her life.

But Ada is pulled back into Stephen’s orbit when his body is discovered in his isolated Utah compound. The only people on the property were Stephen’s assistant and the five women whose creation still feels like a violation of Ada’s own existence. Each of them are trained to excel in their fields: science, politics, finance, entertainment, and the military. And all of them are linked to Ada, closer than she's ever admitted, by genes her father stole from her—to make up, it was implied, for her wasted potential.

To protect these women’s true origins from the public eye—and to spare her own daughter—Ada must uncover the truth behind her father’s death in a single night, even if it means unraveling the secrets that bind them all together.

A Golden Age mystery with a speculative bent, All Her Potential explores the perils of nature versus nurture, and how our greatest strengths could result in the deadliest of possibilities. Because if one of them has the potential for murder—they all do. Even Ada herself.
