About the book
Monet (ART Collection)
This monograph dedicated to Claude Monet offers a rare and intimately documented perspective on one of the most beloved artists of the public. It is written by Philippe Piguet, an art historian, a recognized specialist of Monet and his great-grandson, custodian of unpublished documents and heir to a family memory shaped from childhood in the gardens of Giverny. The book provides a sensitive reading of the artist’s work, seen from within, which renews the understanding of an artistic journey that has become universal.
This book aims to establish itself as an essential reference for understanding how the artist transformed the perception of light and the history of modern painting.
