Overview

An action-packed manga adventure with easy, full-color instructions for 55 origami models!

When two young students become origami rivals, they capture the attention of the Shinto deities, and an epic showdown begins! This fun, instructional manga follows four schoolchildren and two magical spirits as they compete on the path to origami mastery.

Young Kota discovers the joy and creativity of paper folding with the help of Gami, a magical guide, and his childhood friend Emi. When a talented rival and a mysterious new guide appear, a series of friendly competitions leads to increasingly impressive animal-themed origami models, including:

• Pets & Zoo Animals: a cat with a nodding head, a raccoon-like tanuki, and a cute panda with classic markings
• Fish & Wildlife: a pleated shrimp, an inflatable octopus, and a jumping frog
• Birds & Insects: an elegant crane, a "talking" crow, and a four-winged dragonfly
• And many more models!

Through shared play and creativity, the characters grow from rivals into friends. Along the way, readers learn how to fold each model themselves, bringing the story's origami creations to life.
