Christmas 2026 order-by dates

Three Sundays to plan around. One date to remember for each.

Pick the day the books need to be in your church, then order by the date on the door: 11 business days ahead in the Christmas rush, a day more than the rest of the year so carriers have room.

How many copies?

One for every family, and a few for the guests God sends.

Count households if the book is a family gift, or people if every member gets their own. Then add 10% for newcomers, visitors and the families who find you in December.

  • Family gift: one per household on your directory, plus 10%.
  • Advent devotional: one per adult in your small groups, plus a leader copy for each group.
  • Christmas Eve: last year's attendance across every service, plus 10%. Leftovers become your new-visitor welcome gift in January.

Paying as a church

Easy for the church office, clear for the treasurer.

Year-end budgets are tight and the calendar is full. Here's how churches usually pay for a Christmas order.

  1. Tax-exempt certificate

    Exemption rules vary by state. Send your church's certificate before you order and we'll set up your account, so tax doesn't appear on the invoice. Sales tax exemption

  2. Purchase orders

    Send a PO against your written quote. Our W-9 is on the purchase orders page.

  3. Net 30 from the invoice date

    Pay on terms, Net 30 from the invoice date for approved accounts, so the books can arrive before the finance committee meets.

  4. Quotes hold 30 days

    Your written quote holds for 30 days: time to take it to the elders or the board. Pay by check, card, ACH or wire.

What's a good Christmas book to give every family in our church?

Choose one short, warm book that a whole household can share. For a gift that costs a few dollars a copy, churches choose The Case for Christmas or God's Blessings of Christmas. For a keepsake, Hidden Christmas or The Jesus Storybook Bible A Christmas Collection. Every shelf on this page shows its live price at 25 copies, and any Christian title in our catalog can be quoted.

How many copies should we order?

One per family or one per member, plus 10% for newcomers and Christmas guests. A church of 300 families orders 330 copies. For Christmas Eve, start from last year's attendance across every service and add 10%.

When do we need to order for Advent and Christmas?

Order 11 business days before you need the books in hand. For the first Sunday of Advent, November 29, order by Wednesday, November 11. For Sunday, December 20, order by Friday, December 4. For Christmas Eve services, order by Wednesday, December 9. These dates assume your titles are available at the publisher or our warehouse, and your quote confirms the date.

Can you add a church bookplate or a note from our pastor?

Yes. We can place a printed bookplate inside each copy or tuck a Christmas card or letter into every book. Extras add a step, so allow 4 weeks. Order by Thursday, November 19 for December 20. Order by Tuesday, November 24 for Christmas Eve. Each extra is itemized on your quote.

Can our church order tax-exempt, with a PO or on terms?

Yes. Send your tax-exempt certificate before you order and we'll set up your account. We accept purchase orders against a written quote, and terms are Net 30 from the invoice date for approved accounts. Quotes hold for 30 days.

Can you deliver to more than one campus?

Yes. Send us each campus address and count, and every campus gets its own boxes on one quote and one invoice. We can also mail a book to each family's home: allow about 4 weeks with our most economical option, or ask about faster, tracked postage.

How much do bulk Christmas books cost, and is shipping free?

Volume pricing starts at 25 copies and the price per copy drops at 100, 250, 500 and 1,000, up to 51% off list at 1,000 or more. Larger volumes are quoted. Free ground shipping applies to most orders over $95 in the contiguous US.
