Overview
Hilarious and heartwarming stories of outdoor mishaps and misadventures from the beloved five-time New York Times bestselling humorist, Patrick F. McManus, "a writer who makes people laugh out loud, hard." (The New York Times)
In this collection of thirty zany stories, spoofing camping, fishing, and other outdoor recreational activities, McManus faces an angry bear with an unloaded gun and runs a boat while it’s still on the trailer. No, he does not question the ingredients found in camp cookout cuisine, but few men have questioned more deeply the best methods for catching grasshoppers.
Including such classic stories as "The Human Fuel Pump" and "The Skunk Ladder."
"Another bag of whimsy in the Great Outdoors” —Kirkus Reviews
