About the book
Your First Yard
Amanda Thomsen dishes up serious advice with attitude in this comic-style introduction to the world of gardening.
Your First Yard is an irreverent, interactive guide to creating an outdoor space that captures your unique personality. Amanda Thomsen encourages you to forget the accepted “rules” and make your own landscaping choices, whether you want privacy hedges to block out those pesky neighbors, a compost pile for kitchen waste (and maybe dead bodies?), a scavenger-style patio for partying, or all of the above. Then play a round of Bad Landscaping Bingo, color in a gnome, or make a garden chore cootie catcher.
