About the die
Deboss and foil use a metal die made from your logo, one per design. Under 100 journals it's a one-time $75; at 100 or more it's free. Reordering the same logo later? The die is on file, so there's no die fee. The same logo on different journal models counts together toward 100. Want your logo on the back cover too? Choose Front + back: the back is a second location with its own die, a one-time $75 at any quantity (only one die is free at 100 or more), or none if it's on file. Other spots are by quote.
Good artwork
A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) gives the crispest result. A sharp PNG works too. If your file needs a tweak, we'll tell you on the proof.

The books were beautiful. The books were beautiful. We used them for a donor event with the tipin in the front of the book. This is the 2nd time we have used these journals with the tipin and this time it went much smoother. The first time however, there was quite a bit of difficulty getting the correct template in place for the journal. If it wasn't for the keen eye of our graphic designer, we would have used the incorrect tipin template.

What's the minimum order?
25 journals. The price per journal drops at 100, 250, 500 and 1,000, and the cart applies it automatically.
Is there a setup or die fee?
Deboss and foil logos use a metal die made from your logo, one per design. Under 100 journals the die is a one-time $75, added to your cart automatically. At 100 or more it's free, and reorders of the same logo are free because the die is on file.
Will I see a proof before you print?
Yes. Within 2–3 business days of receiving your artwork, we email a digital proof of your logo and every name, and production starts only when you approve it.
Can I return custom journals?
Custom-printed journals can't be returned or exchanged unless there's a production error. That's why every order gets a proof you approve before anything is made.
How long does it take?
After you approve the proof, Castelli makes your journals in about 5 business days for a logo, or 10 to 15 business days with foil names. Ground shipping then typically takes 3 to 5 business days. Enter your date on this page to see the order-by date.
Can I send my logo or names after ordering?
Yes. Choose "Send it after ordering" and we email you after checkout to collect your logo and your names list. Your proof follows once we have them.
How should names be formatted?
One person per row, first name and last name in separate boxes, exactly as they should print. You can paste two columns from a spreadsheet. Names are usually stamped in gold or silver foil.
Can I pay by purchase order or order tax-exempt?
Yes. Purchase orders from approved organizations are accepted, with Net 30 from the invoice date for approved accounts, and tax-exempt organizations can send their exemption certificate. Request a formal quote for budget approval, or call 866-522-6657 (Mon–Fri, 8:30 am–5 pm PT).
