About the book
Ask the Animals
In this book of encouragement and blessings, hear wisdom from animals across God's creation. Learn to brave the dark like a tiger, be proud of who you are like a peacock, and go at your own pace like a sloth. Ask the Animals immerses kids in the wonder of the animal kingdom as children discover that God made each animal (and person!) with unique gifts, strengths, and purposes.
Told through the playful voices of animals themselves, this book takes its heart from Job 12:7, "Ask the animals, and they will teach you." Because as it turns out, these creatures have plenty of wisdom to share!
Created to help kids navigate the joys and struggles of growing up, this heartfelt book of blessings . . .
- speaks to common childhood challenges such as fighting with siblings, being scared of the dark, wanting to grow up, grappling with big emotions, and feeling different;
- features animals big and small, from ants, snails, and squirrels to horses, orcas, and elephants;
- builds self-confidence, a sense of purpose, and a deep sense of belonging in God's creation;
- includes a fun fact about every animal mentioned; and
- is a perfect gift for back-to-school, birthdays, baptisms, or any moment a child needs a reminder of just how wonderfully they are made.
Ask the Animals is a joyful, faith-filled journey through God's creation, reminding every child that the same God who designed the wild and wonderful animal kingdom designed them too, on purpose and with love.
