Overview
Your faith didn't collapse overnight. It drifted.
You still show up. You still believe. But somewhere along the way the fire burned lower, and you can't say exactly when it started. Jude understood that. Writing to believers he called beloved and kept, he set aside the letter he had planned and urged them to contend for the faith, because something had already crept in unnoticed.
"Contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God's holy people" (Jude 1:3).
In this six-session video Bible study, pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell walks you through every verse in Jude, one word at a time, and shows you how to stand boldly for biblical truth in public while winning the war within. Two wars, one fight, and you're already in it.
Sessions:
- Crept: Recognize drift before anyone else can see it and find your way back to where the fire once burned.
- Contend: Fight from security, not for it, knowing you are called, beloved, and kept before the battle begins.
- Mercy: Speak plainly when it's out of season, staying hard on the drift and tender with the drifter.
- Keep: Face the silent battle no one sees and learn why struggling doesn't disqualify you but hiding does.
- Build: Strengthen your faith alongside others, because contending was never meant to be done alone.
- Able: Rest in the One who can keep you from stumbling, and who has been keeping you all along.
Each session pairs about 20 minutes of video teaching from Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell with honest discussion and a weekly Contender's Charge, one concrete step that moves you from listening to living. Ideal for small groups, Sunday school classes, personal Bible study, and church-wide campaigns.
The hour is late. The call is clear. It's time to contend.
