About the book
Grumpy Monkey New Friends (Step into Reading, Step 2)
Jim Panzee and his friend Norman are waiting to take a log ride, but when there’s no room for Norman, Jim has to ride without him. Norman might be okay with waiting for the next log, but Jim is definitely not okay with Norman waiting for the next log. Jim doesn’t have a friend on the ride! Not to mention Oxpecker is singing loudly.
Now Jim is feeling shy, alone, and annoyed. Just as Jim is about to lose his temper about the noise, Wild Cat speaks up … and suddenly everything feels better. Jim has met a kindred spirit! And the rest of the ride is a blast, with these new friends bonding over jokes, snacks, and spotting fish in the water. Jim hardly notices Oxpecker’s singing the rest of the way!
