About the book
Knit Knot
A cozy picture book about the joys, frustrations, and surprises of knitting.
Tip tap tippetti
That’s the sound this child's aunt makes when she visits. Her knitting needles click and clack together, making all kinds of beautiful things.
Tap tip tappetti
The autumn wind whirls and swirls and blows their aunt's hat up, up, and away. This child is determined to make her a new one!
Oh no... their pips pop and their knits knot.
How will they make their aunt a hat now?
Maybe, with their aunt's help, they can still tippetti tappetti, too!
Dinalie Dabarera’s delightful picture book explores the tips, taps, pits, and pats of a child’s first foray into knitting. Knit Knot weaves together the joys and frustrations of trying something new to tell a story that's relatable, encouraging, and heartfelt.
