About the book
Num Num Moon
Num num Mama. Num num chair. Num num moon! Drink lots of milk and get bigger!
A rhythmic board book about a hungry baby's growing world, seen through the lens of breastfeeding. We join this little one on a bright, whimsical journey from Mama's breast to the moon's, accompanied by vividly colored illustrations of various smiling characters that nourish baby's growing body and heart on every spread.
Originally illustrated and written in Japanese by acclaimed husband-and-wife team The Cabin Company, Oppai no Tabi emerged from Kentaro Abe and Saki Yoshioka's experience of breastfeeding after the birth of their first child.
An imaginative, soothing story perfect for both breastfeeding and weaning babies, Num Num Moon is a celebration of the earliest moments of life. Whether winding down for bedtime or exploring together during playtime, Num Num Moon encourages little ones to engage with their expanding worlds through sound, touch, and sight. Its sturdy board format and playful text is ideal for shared reading, early language learning, and cozy family moments.
