- Numerische Berechnung der Lösung: es sind geeignete Algorithmen und die erforderlichen Rechenhilfsmittel auszuwählen. Es sind Anforderungen an den numerischen Algorithmus bezüglich Rechenzeit und Rechengenauigkeit zu formulieren, sowie Abschätzungen der zu erwartenden Rechenfehler durchzuführen.
- Auswertung der erzielten Resultate: Es ist zu entscheiden, ob eine ausreichende Lösung des praktischen Problems erzielt worden ist oder ob eine Verbesserung des mathematischen Modells erfolgen muss.
