About the book
Prickly
Winston is feeling prickly. Not quite sad. Not quite mad. Just… prickly.
Nothing seems to help—not a walk through the forest, and not the well-meaning (but wildly incorrect) advice from his neighbors. The more Winston tries to ignore his feelings, the worse they get. But how can Winston stop feeling so prickly if he doesn’t even know why he feels that way? Luckily, a small, patient new friend is ready to listen, and Winston might just learn a thing or two about what to do when someone else feels prickly, too.
With humor and heart, #1 New York Times bestselling author Jill Twiss explores what it feels like to have a day where everything is a little off. With charming illustrations by Myo Yim, this story captures those hard-to-explain feelings, showing readers that sometimes what you need most is someone who will sit with you and listen.
