About the book
Snakebit
From the New York Times-bestselling author of Alone, Megan E. Freeman, comes an inspiring novel about the adventures of an 11-year-old boy in small-town Texas, determined to change his bad luck.
Edroy Luckinbill is the unluckiest boy in South Texas.
Luckinbills are all snakebit. They are cursed with bad luck, and Edroy has learned to accept it. He and his grandparents live in a trailer in the hottest, dustiest, most quickly forgotten corner of the county. Then his momma turns up after serving a long prison sentence, and Edroy knows his luck has gone from bad to worse. But when he and his best friend make a surprising discovery on the side of the road, Edroy begins to question everything he’s been taught about fate and family. Might he be able to break the snakebit curse? And could his luck be about to change, too?
Snakebit is a big-hearted story of family and forgiveness with an unforgettable cast of characters readers won’t soon forget.
