Overview

Find nourishment for your body and your soul that will transform your day from harried and hungry to serene and satisfied.

In Unwind, by cooking show host, Food Network Star winner, and culinary expert Aarti Sequeira, you will discover 50 devotions and a paired recipe that will lift your spirits even on the most demanding days.

It's a familiar and dreaded feeling. After a full day of work, responsibilities, and other challenges, now you have to muster up the remains of your strength and imagination to traverse the final hurdle: dinner. But what if you could turn this loathed chore into a time and space to invite God to transform the mundane into the sacred?

In this thoughtful devotional and recipe collection, Aarti invites you to see meal preparation in a new way. As you cook, time in the kitchen becomes an opportunity to share sacred moments with God that can nourish both your spirit and your life. She says, “I now see it as a threshold into the transcendent… Sometimes it's an actual anointing of peace as I peel the layers of skin weighing down each clove of garlic. Sometimes it's a lesson about His timing, as I wait patiently on the onions to caramelize.” Each devotion focuses on one specific need and how it's found in Jesus. Then, as you make the attached recipe, let those truths seep into every step of the process, nourishing you as you prepare something nourishing for the table. You will enjoy delightful devotion and recipe pairings like:

• A devotion on When You Need Rest paired with a recipe for Saffron Chicken Korma and Dumplings
• A devotion on When You Need Joy paired with a recipe for Bombay Gnocchi
