About the book
We're Late!
Such is the plight of this bunny family when Dad’s alarm malfunctions on the morning of a big vacation. The bags aren’t packed, the keys are missing, and Grandma’s still in bed.
Our young child narrator loves the airport, but Dad's not having any fun today. She doesn’t get to stop for a snack or ride up and down the escalator. It’s all rush, rush, rush!
When the stress boils over, Dad blows up—and is then instantly guilty, a familiar combination for all parent readers. All is forgiven, but now how will they make their flight? Luckily for these bunnies, sometimes the airport isn’t running totally on schedule . . . and sometimes that’s good news to a kid.
Steve Teare delivers an uproariously real send-up of age-old family foibles, promising cathartic laughs for kids and grown-ups alike.
