About the book
When Spring Comes
Though a meadow may be waking from its winter sleep or a stream running fresh with snowmelt, families who love exploring the outdoors in spring—happily layered up for muddy adventures in the crisp, blooming air—know that wildlife is bursting back to life all around them.
The mossy log that makes a perfect stepping stone on a rainy walk is a busy home for frogs, newts, and ants emerging from their winter rest. The soft, rain-soaked ground that families splash across on nature hikes holds busy earthworms tunneling up toward the warming sun. We search for signs of bear cubs and raccoon kits, goslings and fuzzy chicks.
When Spring Comes celebrates the joy of families playing and exploring in the outdoors during the spring months—discovering new life, embracing muddy boots, and welcoming the wonders of the season together.
This beautifully illustrated board book will inspire families to get out and explore during the spring season. When Spring Comes is part of the When Seasons Come series that includes When Summer Comes, When Winter Comes, and When Fall Comes board and picture books.
