Seduction (CLAW & WARDER #1) [9781036706166]

Overview

A supernatural homicide, a succubus witness, a succubus suspect and a brand-new partner with something to hide land on one detective's desk. Book one of an urban fantasy police procedural with courtroom drama and gallows humor.

Enter a hidden New York where magic runs beneath the surface and supernatural detectives keep the chaos in check.

Investigating a supernatural homicide is hard enough without a succubus as your new partner

Leery Oriscoe is a longtime detective with New York’s Supernatural Inquisitors Squad. Years ago, he got hit by the Hassidic bus. The bus was driven by a werewolf. It’s complicated.

His new partner, Detective Dru Nogan, is half-vampire, half-succubus, smart, sexy as Hell, and keeping a secret nobody on the squad is going to like.

Their lieutenant is the ghost of a Van Helsing. Their latest case starts with the drained body of a young man in Riverside Park. With one succubus as a witness, another as the prime suspect, and Dru caught somewhere in the middle, what should have been a routine supernatural homicide is quickly turning into a complete nightmare.

In New York, murder investigations are hard enough.

Will Leery end up the victim of the next Seduction?

Seduction is Book One in the Claw & Warder series, perfect for readers who love supernatural police procedurals, paranormal courtroom drama, sharp gallows humour, and urban fantasy in the vein of Jim Butcher and Ben Aaronovitch.
