A debut romantasy set in a world ruled by star signs, about a Leo who finds out her perfect match doesn't believe in astrology, for fans of Rebecca Ross and Alix Harrow—the start of a duology

Matched by their signs, ruled by their hearts.

In the harmonious city of Ophiuchus, where everyone is defined by their star sign, Riley is a proud Leo. She has been waiting her whole life to meet her true match, as ordained by the all-powerful Astrologists, and is overjoyed when the day finally comes. But Riley’s hopes are shattered when she learns that her Aquarius match, Obie, doesn’t believe in signs at all.

Bound by the city’s law, Riley and Obie have no choice but to follow through with their match, made all the worse by the interference of the Aquarius Supreme, one of the twelve rulers of the city . . . who also happens to be Obie’s mother. Riley and Obie enter into a tentative truce, which takes them to grand feasts, illegal underground dens, and sacred magic sites, all while they try to fight their undeniable chemistry and keep Obie’s treasonous secret safe.

But Obie has good reasons for his beliefs. And when he makes a discovery that could shake the foundations of their world, he finds himself desperately questioning whether the truth is worth losing Riley over. But it’s not just the Astrologists with a watchful eye on their relationship, and the secrets Riley and Obie have been keeping are not as well-hidden as they think.
