Wayfinder: A Novel

A young healer running from her life joins an expedition to a mysterious island and finds herself sharing a tent with the last person she expected—her unrequited crush, who's already rejected her once—in this cozy sapphic fantasy adventure set in the world of Wildflower.

Exhausted by the demands of her healing gift and eager for adventure, Peregrine Alcott bargains her way on an expedition to the mythical Island she's been obsessed with since childhood. Down in the Island's caves, hidden relics and long-forgotten history await. But while the team dutifully monitors the Island's environment, Perrin can't resist straying off the path to see the legends for herself.

On the journey, Perrin finds friendship in a cartographer similarly keen to uncover the Island's secrets, joins a team that offers a reprieve from her overwhelmed magical senses, and faces an unexpected reunion with an acquaintance from her past: Sloane Montrose, a calm and composed swordfighter whose presence unsettles Perrin more than the Island itself. As the days pass, Perrin's feelings for Sloane become harder to ignore—as do the memories of their few past encounters, none of which went in Perrin's favor.

Following her own instincts—and curiosity—Perrin heads into ancient ruins, where she discovers cavernous tunnels, unusual animals, and a darkness determined to cast a shadow over their camp. As the legends of the Island stir and danger mounts, Perrin might just find what she never thought to seek: love that will last a lifetime.
